About the Role

MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a seasoned Mechanical Engineer to join their team as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading design projects and providing technical expertise on mechanical building systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer with a passion for technical leadership and project management to take their career to the next level. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, lead a team of engineers, and contribute to the growth and success of the company.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer who is able to lead by example, mentor junior engineers, and provide technical guidance and support to project teams.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead design projects and provide technical expertise on mechanical building systems.
  2. Coach and mentor junior engineers and project teams.
  3. Engage in hands-on technical work as required throughout project lifecycles.
  4. Develop and implement design solutions that meet client needs and expectations.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements
  1. Mechanical Engineering degree or diploma, with 7+ years of experience as a professional Engineer.
  2. Detailed understanding of all building systems, including architectural, structural, civil, electrical, and fire, and how they impact and are impacted by the mechanical systems.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Ability to schedule, mentor, and manage project teams of 1-3 people, on 2 or more concurrent projects.
  5. Strong technical skills, including proficiency in software programs such as Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Word.
