The Role:
As part of our Product Design team, you will transform conceptual ideas into meaningful user experiences. By integrating UI, UX, research, and content design, you will influence every aspect of the user journey. In this position, you will identify user and business challenges and translate them into refined interfaces and exceptional experiences. You will report to a Design Manager who is committed to fostering your growth and development within the organization.
In your capacity as a designer within the Fintech Group, you will play a crucial role in shaping how service providers approach financial management for their businesses. Your work will contribute to creating innovative solutions that address the unique challenges faced by service providers, ultimately enhancing their client relationships and supporting their growth.
The Team:
As a vital member of the broader Product Development team, our Product Designers collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineers to achieve shared objectives for our users and the business. Product Design at Jobber operates in a decentralized manner, allowing you to work alongside a dedicated group of Engineers and Product Managers, gaining expertise and establishing yourself as a design leader among your peers. This team is essential to Jobber's success, focused on developing software that delivers value to thousands of users worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to a product group that aims to deliver innovative solutions across our product ecosystem.
- Establish a design vision for your team and stakeholders through wireframes, flow diagrams, interface designs, and mockups.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to understand user needs and effectively communicate your findings to influence your team.
- Ensure consistency and thoroughness in user experience across all released work by your team and other teams.
- Mentor and provide constructive feedback to fellow designers at Jobber as they pursue similar goals within their product areas.
- Lead UX strategy in close collaboration with your Product Owner.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a designer in a collaborative environment, specifically with web or mobile SaaS products.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Miro, and traditional sketching methods, with the ability to select the appropriate tool for each task.
- Deep understanding of user experience principles and the ability to drive positive changes in user interactions.
- Strong visual and interaction design skills, demonstrated through a compelling portfolio.
- A genuine curiosity to explore customer challenges and develop engaging solutions, embracing the learning opportunities that come from failure.
- Familiarity with the constraints and possibilities of designing for web and mobile platforms.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, as effective collaboration is key in design.
