Position Overview
As a School Bus Operator, you will be responsible for the safe daily transportation of students, with a strong commitment to safety and customer service.
This role involves a split shift, requiring approximately 2 hours of driving in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon, with additional routes available for those seeking extra hours. Operators will be assigned routes that occur between 6:30 am - 9:30 am in the morning and 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm in the afternoon. This position operates during the academic year, with time off during the summer months.
Qualifications
- Valid class 1 or 2 driver's license is preferred
- A minimum of five years of driving experience, including at least two years of winter driving experience in Canada
- Five-year driver's abstract required
- Must maintain a safe driving record
- Will undergo drug and alcohol testing, criminal record checks, vulnerable sector clearance, and reference verification
