About the Role

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team in the Commercial Construction industry. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in new project sales meetings with potential clients to discuss project opportunities and develop business relationships.
  • Prepare, monitor, and update construction schedules and job costs to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Prepare, maintain, and update project files to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is available.
  • Manage owner and consultant-initiated change notices and change orders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Request pricing from subcontractors for change notices and process subcontractor change orders to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Receive, review, and process shop drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Set up and attend site subcontractor coordination meetings and take minutes and distribute to all parties to ensure effective communication.

  • Assist the Project Estimator in preparing estimates when required to ensure accurate project pricing.
  • Review and approve subcontractor monthly progress draws to ensure timely payment.
  • Prepare monthly progress claims and submit to the Owner for payment to ensure timely payment.
  • Prepare monthly project forecasting to ensure accurate project timelines and budgets.
  • Ensure the Site Superintendent has all up-to-date project documents, including drawings, specifications, subcontracts, schedules, and change orders.
  • Work closely with the Superintendent to ensure overall coordination of the project.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of previous Project Management experience working on diverse projects.
  • University or college diploma in a relevant construction/engineering program.
  • Integrated Project Delivery Contract experience is an asset.
  • Excellent computer skills, including experience using MS Office, Project, Scheduling, and Project Management software.
  • Experience in all forms of contracts and delivery.
  • Sound knowledge in the review and negotiation of contracts for construction projects.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, presentations), including the ability to successfully translate technical information to non-technical individuals.
  • Experience working with different project delivery methods.
  • Exemplary leadership skills, including strong team-building capabilities.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and ability to problem-solve.
  • Must have and maintain a valid provincial driver's license.
  • Ability to travel on average once a month to visit sites under construction.
