We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Automation Manager to join our team at Atlantic Packaging. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of complex controls automated systems across 6 plants, overseeing a team of Controls Engineering Specialists and indirectly managing Electricians. This is a corporate operational type controls engineering management position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational type automation engineering management (Electrical Controls Department and related personnel)
- Provide automation technical expertise and management for our Corrugated Plants
- Establish, maintain, and manage methods to minimize downtime for over 1500 complex systems across 6 plants
- Oversee and manage internal and external controls-related support (ongoing and emergency support)
- Manage and establish ongoing controls-related training (internal and external) for Engineers, Technologists, and Electricians across 6 plants
Requirements:
- Technologist, Engineer, or Electrician with 7 years OEM experience
- Minimum of 6 years OEM experience in electrical design, programming, and commissioning complex systems with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs and HMIs
Hardware and Software:
- PLCs (Allen Bradley): SLC 500 Series, SLC 501, SLC 503, SLC 504, MICROLOGIX 1400, MICROLOGIX 1500, CompactLogix, GuardLogix
- PLCs (Siemens): SIMATIC S7-300, SIMATIC S7-400, SIMATIC S7-1200, SIMATIC S7-1500
- Drives: Lenze 8200, Lenze 9300, PowerFlex 4, POWERFLEX 40
