Job Summary

Goodall Transport Ltd. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently across various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation of Goods: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Cargo Management: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of cargo, vehicle condition, and other relevant information.
  • Emergency Response: Perform emergency roadside repairs and respond to unexpected situations.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance to prevent mechanical issues and ensure vehicle reliability.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Possess Air Brake (Z) Endorsement and a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to sit for extended periods, with attention to detail and physical stamina to perform tasks.
Working Conditions
  • Work Hours: 40 to 50 hours per week.
  • Work Term: Permanent position.
