Municipal Infrastructure Engineering Lead

About the Role:
Parsons Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Project Manager to lead our municipal infrastructure engineering team in Western Canada. As a key member of our Critical Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for managing projects that rehabilitate or upgrade underground infrastructures and transportation assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the effort of our design team to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders to manage and administer projects, ensuring quality, sustainability, value, timeliness, and profitability.
- Oversee the contractor's performance with the assistance of inspectors, ensuring compliance with contract conditions.
- Manage relationships with existing clients to deliver projects successfully and pursue new opportunities.
- Conduct infrastructure condition assessments to evaluate client needs and develop project proposals.
- Conduct construction administration and inspection of work performed by others, ensuring adherence to contract conditions.
- Supervise designs, contract preparation, and authenticate professional work products.
- Draft contracts for large engineering/construction management projects and propose alternative text/clauses as needed.
- Write technical reports and deliverables required by clients.
- Manage and administer projects to promote quality, sustainability, value, timeliness, and profitability.
- Identify contractual problems and take appropriate action to ensure a satisfactory resolution.
Requirements:
- Eligibility for Professional Membership with the engineering or technologist associations in Western Canada.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in municipal and transportation works.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic, with a strong desire to succeed.
- Strong technical background in road and bridge size culverts rehabilitation and construction.
- Strong technical background in municipal transportation infrastructures.
- Requires a working knowledge of industry business practices and the negotiation of prime contracts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification to conduct site survey or material testing would be an asset.
- Experience with large engineering/construction projects would be an asset.
