Responsibilities:
The Civil and Seismic Engineering Section is expanding to support our nuclear portfolio. We seek motivated engineers to:
- Lead civil engineering analysis and design for nuclear facilities.
- Conduct assessments of civil structures' condition and performance.
- Collaborate with construction and utility stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
- Provide field support for multi-disciplinary design modifications.
- Analyze client challenges and propose effective solutions.
- Conduct technical assessments and troubleshooting for refurbishment and capital projects.
- Engage with team members on multi-disciplinary projects.
- Stay updated on advancements in civil engineering.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a project-driven environment with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with nuclear refurbishment or new nuclear projects is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Attention to detail and quality assurance is essential.
- Experience in preparing reports and presentations for clients.
- Knowledge of CANDU technology and nuclear power plant operations.
- Professional Engineer of Ontario (PEO) status or eligibility is preferred.
- Expertise in structural design and seismic engineering.
- Proficiency in civil engineering codes and standards applicable to nuclear plants.
- Familiarity with engineering software such as STAAD and ANSYS.
- Good project management skills and ability to build trust with clients.
- Understanding of Nuclear Quality Assurance Standards.
- A Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent is required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience is preferred.
