We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our Mental Health & Substance Use program, you will play a vital role in providing intensive individual and group therapy, liaison, and care coordination support to individuals and families affected by mental illness and substance use disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Treatment Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health status and develop personalized treatment plans to address their unique needs and goals.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual and group therapy, to support clients in achieving their recovery goals.
- Care Coordination: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and transition of clients between services.
- Community Outreach: Establish and maintain relationships with community resources and services to facilitate access to support and services for clients.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and comprehensive client records, including progress notes and reports, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Professional Development: Stay current with best practices and evidence-based treatments in mental health and substance use, and participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Education: Master's degree in Social Work, Counselling Psychology, or a related field.
- Experience: Two years of recent experience working with clients and families affected by mental illness and substance use disorders.
- Registration: Eligible for registration with a relevant professional association.
- Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of mental health assessment skills, crisis intervention techniques, and brief/short-term therapy skills; ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams; and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
