About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Vaghela Enterprises Inc. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a Cash Register: Accurately process transactions, handle cash, credit, and debit card payments, and maintain a clean and organized cash handling area.
  • Process Transactions: Tabulate total payment for goods or services, receive payment, and provide change as needed.
  • Provide Customer Service: Greet customers, respond to their inquiries, and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Suggestive Selling: Offer product recommendations and promotions to customers to enhance their shopping experience.
  • Work in a Retail Environment: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, restock shelves, and perform other tasks as needed to ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Participate in diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
  • Support for Youths: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for youth and provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Participate in diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Work Setting: Retail business.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 hours per week.
