Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Onyx Stones & Custom Cabinets Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to woodworking and construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts and measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced construction environment, with regular exposure to heights, outdoors, and various locations. The role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work at heights and in various environments
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
