The role of Sales Support Associate is crucial to the overall success and operational efficiency of the store, requiring a strong commitment to our brand values while serving our customers. Accuracy and effectiveness in managing product flow from receipt to point of sale are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Cash Wrap:

  • Welcome customers warmly with a smile and maintain eye contact.
  • Engage with customers in a genuine and natural manner.
  • Identify and respond to customers' needs effectively.
  • Conduct email/name capture in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Ensure accuracy while operating the POS system.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness at the cash wrap.
  • Propose multiple add-ons and promote gift cards.
  • Handle cash and POS media in accordance with company policies.
  • Leave a lasting impression by sincerely thanking customers and encouraging their return.
  • Represent the Tapestry brand with professionalism.

Stockroom / Warehouse:

  • Receive and process shipments and transfers.
  • Inform management of new product arrivals.
  • Verify store information by scanning cartons/transfers.
  • Report discrepancies to management promptly.
  • Process shipments and transfers following company standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized stockroom daily.
  • Adjust stockroom organization based on product sell-through.
  • Manage stock levels and product ownership in both back-of-house and sales floor.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts as directed.
  • Participate in scheduled physical inventory counts.
  • Adhere to company loss prevention standards.

Sales Floor:

  • Regularly assess the sales floor for replenishment needs.
  • Replenish assigned zones on the sales floor.
  • Respond to sell-through and execute visual merchandising tasks.
  • Support sales floor activities as directed.
  • Communicate product information, including price points and availability, to customers.
  • Confidently address customer inquiries and collaborate with the sales team or management as needed.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards on the sales floor.

Operations:

  • Complete daily operational tasks, ensuring the store, cash wrap, and visual merchandising meet company standards.
  • Follow all retail policies and procedures, including those related to POS and loss prevention.
  • Utilize company tools and technology to foster customer relationships and drive sales.
  • Replenish inventory on the sales floor as necessary.
  • Process shipments as required.

Additional Requirements:

Experience: 1-3 years of prior experience in a luxury retail environment is preferred. Familiarity with current fashion trends and market competition is essential.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is preferred.

Technical Skills: Proficient in cash register systems and basic computer skills, including the use of iPads/laptops and mobile POS.

Physical Requirements: Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members. Mobility to navigate the sales floor and stockroom to provide customer service. Capability to reach, bend, and lift products from various heights, including the ability to lift up to fifty pounds when processing shipments.

Schedule: Flexibility to work various shifts to meet business needs, including evenings and weekends during peak retail periods.
