Sony Pictures Imageworks is a leading animation studio that values innovation and creativity. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Maya Pipeline Developer to join our team.

About the Role:

We are looking for a talented individual to develop and maintain our Maya animation production pipeline. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and refining technical procedures and tools to ensure a streamlined and efficient animation pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and support procedures and tools for character rigging, character animation, simulation, props, layout, cameras, plates, geometry conversions, and general shot asset management.
  • Collaborate with production, supervisors, and team members to problem-solve and share information related to show tasks.
  • Ensure timely completion of tasks and meet show deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Maya, Python programming, and Linux operating system.
  • Familiarity with Katana, Unreal, Houdini, and/or USD is a plus.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of Maya and Python programming.
  • Experience creating user interfaces with PyQt/PySide.
  • Knowledge of the Linux operating system.
  • Understanding of the git version control system.
  • Most desired 2-year diploma or 1-year certificate, however, minimal requirement of 3+ years of relevant experience may be accepted.

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary range of $45.34 to $65.10/hr, as well as benefits including healthcare, tuition reimbursement, RRSP's, Sick and Vacation leave, and standard increases as applicable.
