How You Will Contribute:
In the role of Security Solutions Architect, you will report to the Director of Systems Architecture at Ciena and spearhead security initiatives within the Converged Packet Optical sector. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of tasks, including identity and access management, data safeguarding, risk assessment, and beyond.
- Ensure that security functionalities of products are in accordance with corporate standards and policies.
- Assist in the development of a security strategy to address current and future requirements.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create secure architectural designs.
- Engage closely with Security Architects on the implementation of features.
- Monitor vulnerabilities across product lines.
- Refine Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes to adhere to applicable regulations.
- Advise on software quality improvement initiatives.
Key Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, along with significant experience in software development and security.
- Expertise in Open Source and/or commercial security software solutions.
- A diverse leadership background in Identity, Network, and Data Security.
- Familiarity with security analysis tools and industry best practices.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with security certifications and publications.
- Proficiency in credential management and Public Key Infrastructures (PKIs).
- Knowledge of embedded systems software and hardware security.
- Possession of a security certification such as CISSP, CISM, or CASP+.
