About the Role:

Fragomen is seeking a talented US Immigration Lawyer to join our team in the Americas region. As a key member of our team, you will provide expert legal advice on US Consular Services, working closely with our offices to ensure seamless case management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with clients and colleagues on complex Consular case matters, including refusal risks, processing trends, and criminal matters.
  • Liaise with US Embassies and Consulates to ensure efficient case processing.
  • Manage a team of lawyers and analysts, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality case outcomes.
  • Troubleshoot and establish case strategy, working closely with clients to achieve their goals.
  • Manage workflow and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional service and support.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.

Requirements:

  • Member of a US State bar, with Canadian bar admission an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an immigration lawyer, with a focus on Consular Services.
  • Ability to identify legal issues, analyze facts, and determine appropriate case strategy.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion, with prior team management experience preferred.
  • Experience working with high-volume, corporate clientele and managing a wide-ranging case load in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with clients and staff, with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to utilize online case management and legal research tools, with a focus on efficiency and productivity.
