Holt Renfrew is seeking a skilled Tailor to join our team in a dynamic and fashion-driven environment.
About the Role:
The Tailor will be responsible for fitting, pinning, marking, and altering garments to client specifications, ensuring a high level of technical quality and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure clients to determine the scope of work and provide expert guidance on cut and fit.
- Pin and mark garments as appropriate to the type of fabric and ensure a correct fit.
- Complete work as pinned or marked to the highest technical standard and deliver complete garments on or before the promised date.
- Inform clients of alteration charges as per the current price list and confirm and communicate the promise date for completed alterations.
- Partner professionally with Sales Associates to create client satisfaction and provide expert guidance on cut and fit.
- Complete designated sections of alterations tags and follow Holt Renfrew's price list.
- Inform the department manager of supply requirements or equipment repair needs and assist in maintaining the department in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Comply with all Health & Safety policies and requirements and ensure compliance with privacy policies, regulations, and cyber security measures.
Requirements:
- Tailoring or seamstress technical training or its equivalent.
- 2 years of experience in a similar capacity.
- Previous experience in altering luxury fabrications.
- Communicates comfortably and clearly in English and/or French.
