- Culinary Expertise: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes, maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.
- Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing training and guidance on food preparation, cooking, and handling.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Cleanliness and Safety: Ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field or equivalent.
- Certifications: Safe Food Handling certificate and Food Safety Certificate.
This is a fast-paced environment, requiring the ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of productivity. Standing for extended periods is also required.
