Job Title: Construction Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at Aecon Infrastructure Management Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects. This will involve utilizing quantity take-off procedures, advising on tendering procedures, and liaising with engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs for construction projects
  • Utilize quantity take-off procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Advise on tendering procedures to ensure best value for the company
  • Liaise with engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in construction estimating
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing project requirements
