MCQUEEN is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Advocacy to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading and directing all policy, research, and advocacy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership and Direction: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the team, ensuring that all policy, research, and advocacy initiatives are aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
  2. Policy Development: Develop and implement effective policy strategies, working closely with the Board and senior management team.
  3. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry leaders, and community groups.
  4. Team Management: Manage and develop a team of policy analysts and researchers, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback as required.
  5. Communication: Develop and implement effective communication strategies, ensuring that the organization's policy and advocacy initiatives are well understood by key stakeholders.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Strong Policy Background: A bachelor's degree in governance, policy, or a related field, or a combination of education and experience.
  2. Leadership Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role, with a proven track record of success in policy development and implementation.
  3. Excellent Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective communication strategies.
  4. Strong Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex policy issues and develop effective solutions.
