Job Title: Communications and Marketing Advisor

Cuso International is seeking a highly skilled Communications and Marketing Advisor to join our team in Lima, Peru. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality, engaging, and powerful communications materials to effectively capture and demonstrate the impact and results of our work.

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy to promote our work and engage with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Country Representative, Program Managers, and Country Team to create compelling content and materials.
  • Support the creation of training materials, including capacity building and social media training for staff, volunteers, and partners.
  • Write, produce, and disseminate stories that capture the value of international volunteering and the work of our partner organizations.
  • Take photos and videos, produce articles, and disseminate them on social media and other media outlets.
  • Contribute to workshops and field visits, collaborating with other volunteers and staff.

Requirements:

  • Degree in journalism, communications, digital marketing, political science, graphic design, or a related field.
  • Experience in handling audiovisual tools, including Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, and Coreldraw.
  • Video editing skills.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in Latin America as a communications consultant, graphic designer, or similar role.
  • Experience in research and interviewing.
  • Skills in graphic design software, video editing, and photography.
  • Good interpersonal and intercultural skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with a wide range of audiences and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Creativity, good judgment, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong command of the Spanish language (written and oral).

Cuso International will deliver the Sharing Canadian Expertise for Inclusive Development and Gender Equality (SHARE) project, with a contribution from Global Affairs Canada (GAC) over seven years (2020-2027). SHARE aims to improve the economic and/or social well-being of the poorest, most marginalized, and vulnerable people, particularly women and girls, in developing countries, to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals. In addition to increasing the engagement of Canadians in international development and key global issues, this project will aim to increase the performance of country partners to deliver more inclusive, innovative, and environmentally sustainable development initiatives that advance gender equality, in support of the action areas of Canada's Feminist International Assistance Policy.
