Your Role

In this role, you will join the Mechanical group, based in our Brampton, ON office, reporting to the Senior Project Manager. As a Building Condition/Envelope Specialist, you will perform Building Condition Assessments, Reserve Fund Studies, and Capital Planning Services.

Responsibilities

  • Performing Building Condition Assessments, Reserve Fund Studies, and Capital Planning Services.
  • Preparation of condition reports related to the Building Science Components, Exterior Walls, Roofing, and other building elements.
  • Review and prepare reports and repair/replacement cost estimates.

Requirements

  • College diploma, EIT, or University graduate in a suitable related program with a building science background preferred.
  • Exposure to building components, including roofs, exterior walls, windows, and doorways, and/or structural building components, will be an asset.
  • Experience working for an Ontario-based consulting engineering firm is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills - written and oral.
  • A valid driver's license with own vehicle and travel throughout Southern Ontario is required.
  • Experience dealing with various clients and fostering a positive relationship.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
