CNC Machinist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at Jeda Industries in Coquitlam. This is a full-time position with flexible scheduling options, including 4 x 10 hour days or 5 x 8 hour days, with a range of start times.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a machine shop setting, with a strong background in programming and operating CNC Mills and Lathes. Proficiency in Mastercam is required, and experience with shop drawings and quality control is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC Mills and Lathes for production of high-tolerance aluminum parts.
  • Program with Mastercam to meet precise specifications.
  • Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure accuracy and quality of parts.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Assist junior employees with equipment setup and troubleshooting.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a machine shop setting, with a focus on CNC Mills and Lathes.
  • Proficiency in Mastercam programming.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
