We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a ShelterCare Manager. This is a permanent, full-time position that requires a strong leader who can provide guidance and support to our team members.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop a team of supervisors and staff members, providing coaching and development opportunities to enhance their skills and performance.
- Oversee the daily operations of the program, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all team members.
- Develop and implement program budgets, allocating resources effectively to meet the needs of the program.
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners, funders, and stakeholders to ensure the success of the program.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure seamless service delivery and integration.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance program outcomes and services.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- University degree in Social Work, Counselling, or a related field of study.
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience, developing and leading a team.
- Advanced knowledge of psychoactive substances, problematic substance use, harm reduction, recovery-oriented interventions, evidence-informed practices, and clinical treatment modalities.
- Experience with collaboration, program development, and implementation.
- Experience providing clinical supervision.
- Generally daytime work with pre-planned evening and weekend work to support the 24/7 operation of services as needed.
- On-call 24/7 for program leadership and direction during times of crisis in some programs.
- Intensive contact with program participants required.
- Encountering participants at program sites under the influence of alcohol or other drugs, and/or experiencing symptoms of mental illness to be expected.
- Travel within Waterloo Region and Wellington County required for some programs.
- Competitive salary range: $33.60 - $42.80 per hour.
- Three weeks of vacation, 3 personal days, and sick credits totaling approximately 12 days per year.
