The Role: Millwork Production Leader

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Millwork Production Leader to oversee our manufacturing operations. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional quality products that exceed client expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage production on the shop floor, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and on time to meet customer demands.
  • Collaborate closely with project management, engineering, and other departments to align objectives related to labor, materials, costs, safety, and delivery.
  • Partner with engineers to verify the accuracy of drawings and Bill of Materials (BOMs) for seamless manufacturing processes.
  • Supervise and mentor production teams across various trades, including cabinet making, carpentry, metal fabrication, and other specialized areas involved in creating high-quality retail, commercial, and residential environments.
  • Maintain rigorous quality control standards throughout all phases of production, from raw materials to finished goods.
  • Promote a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Implement modern manufacturing concepts (Lean, cell manufacturing) to optimize cost savings, enhance quality, and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring the safe operation of tools and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • A Degree or Diploma in Operations Management or a related field, including skilled trades such as Cabinet Maker, Carpenter, Metal Fabricator, etc.
  • Hands-on manufacturing experience in producing retail environments, store fixtures, millwork, metal fabrication, and/or other custom multi-material projects. Experience with custom millwork is highly valued.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading a manufacturing operation.
  • Knowledge of modern manufacturing principles and best practices.
  • Proven ability to analyze and improve all aspects of manufacturing operations, achieving measurable results.
  • Excellent communication skills with a positive and collaborative approach.
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong technical proficiency, including the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Driven by initiative and a customer-centric mindset.
