Job Summary

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a Housekeeping Unit Support Worker to join our team. As a Housekeeping Unit Support Worker, you will be responsible for performing various cleaning functions and services throughout the hospital and annexes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform cleaning functions and services throughout the hospital and annexes
  • Understand and follow Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) guidelines
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to interact well with others
  • Ability to retain information which is of a confidential nature
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt readily to stressful situations
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, twist, lift and reach continuously throughout the entire shift
  • Ability to lift approximately 25 lbs/11 kgs
Additional Requirements

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred.

Please note that an employee is not permitted to hold two or more positions across the WRHA legal entity that combine to equal more than 1.0 EFT.
