We are seeking a skilled General Machinist to join our team at A & D Custom Machining & Fabricating. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating various machine tools to fabricate and assemble parts to close tolerance.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly of parts.
• Operate drill presses, engine lathes, milling machines, and sawing machines to fabricate and assemble parts to close tolerance.
• Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and verniers.
• Use measuring tools, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges, to ensure accurate measurements and quality control.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, standing for extended periods, and maintaining attention to detail.
• Handle weights up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and use steel-toed safety boots and safety glasses/goggles as required.
• Collaborate with the team to achieve production goals and maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

• Other trades certificate or diploma.
• Previous experience in a machine shop or fabrication environment is an asset.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain quality control.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle weights up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
