We are seeking a dedicated Hardware Reliability Specialist to join our team specializing in satellite user terminal and landing station technologies for Telesat Lightspeed constellation. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability and performance of our satellite user terminal and landing station hardware through rigorous testing, analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough reliability testing and analysis of satellite user terminal and landing station hardware components and systems
  • Define requirements for Mean Time Before Failure at the component level to meet calculated reliability at the system level per target market product definition
  • Develop and execute reliability test plans, including environmental stress testing, accelerated life testing, and failure mode analysis (FMA)
  • Collaborate closely with design engineers to identify potential reliability issues and implement design improvements based on test results
  • Perform statistical analysis of test data to evaluate product reliability, predict failures, and recommend improvements
  • Generate detailed test reports and present findings to stakeholders, providing clear recommendations for product enhancements
  • Work with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware components into the overall system
Decision Making & Supervision:

This role has no direct reports, but will work and interact with multi-disciplinary engineering teams.

Working Conditions:

This role offers a hybrid work environment. Working conditions are generally comfortable typical of an office environment. International travel is required.
