Your Opportunity:

The Stores I position for the Peter Lougheed Centre Support Services portfolio provides support at various sites, including Strathmore District Health Services, Airdrie Urgent Care, Didsbury Health Centre, East Calgary Health Centre, Sunridge Medical Gallery, and EMS Headquarters Stonegate.

Job Summary:

As a Stores I, you will be responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of hospital supplies, equipment, and food in accordance with AHS guidelines and standards. You will process incoming requisitions, complete cart audits for quality assurance, and communicate with stakeholders to ensure accurate supply levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process incoming requisitions and distribute supplies in a timely and accurate manner
• Complete cart audits to ensure quality and accuracy of supplies
• Communicate with stakeholders to ensure appropriate supply levels
• Track and report on inventory to prevent overstocking
• Perform other related duties as required

Requirements:

• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English fluently
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, customers, and vendors
• Attention to detail and ability to work with limited supervision
• Reliable, cooperative, and able to demonstrate effective service attitude
• Ability to occasionally move pallets exceeding 1200kg requiring a pushing force of 20kg

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a computerized inventory control system
• Experience in shipping and receiving, warehousing, and material handling
• Knowledge and understanding of aseptic techniques
• Certification in TDG and WHMIS
