Medical Oncologist Position

CancerCare Manitoba is seeking a Medical Oncologist to join our team at the St. Boniface site. As a Geographical Full-Time position, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing high-quality care to patients with malignant disorders.

About the Role:

The Department of Medical Oncology and Hematology, in conjunction with the Section of Hematology/Oncology, is responsible for the diagnosis, treatment, and management of cancer patients. We are seeking a candidate with specialized training and/or significant experience in managing breast cancer.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care to patients with malignant disorders as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Participate in the teaching programs of CCMB and the U of M.
  • Collaborate in an oncology-related clinical or basic research program.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Candidates must have specialty qualifications in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology in the country of current practice and must be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.
  • Applicants with alternative qualifications may also be considered though this may affect eligibility for a University appointment.

Preferred:

  • Certification in Medical Oncology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada is preferred.

Salary and Benefits: This is a University of Manitoba academic appointment. Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Competitive salaries and excellent benefits packages are offered.
