The ideal candidate will be instrumental in overseeing the daily functions of VFX projects, facilitating effective communication among artists, supervisors, and clients. Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Production Supervisor with evolving operational needs, including calendar management, schedule updates, and timecard processing.
  • Assist in maintaining quotas, deadlines, and inventory, ensuring departmental productivity targets are consistently achieved.
  • Collaborate with the Supervisor to understand and uphold the department schedule.
  • Ensure seamless workflow transitions between departments.
  • Alert the Production Supervisor to any issues or risks that may affect the project timeline.
  • Conduct daily check-ins with artists to confirm they are progressing with their assignments and assist in resolving any obstacles.
  • Coordinate crew meetings effectively.
  • Prepare for reviews by creating agendas, coordinating with the Production Assistant to ensure proper attendance and room setup for smooth meetings.
  • Manage and run playlists for review sessions.
  • Follow up on action items resulting from meetings.
  • Comprehend the production pipeline and communicate the impact of team issues to broader production teams.
  • Participate in production meetings and provide departmental updates as necessary.

Requirements

  • Experience: 1-2 years in a production capacity within the VFX, animation, or film sectors.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the capability to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Organization: Strong organizational capabilities with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in production tracking software (e.g., ShotGrid) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Team Player: A collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem Solver: Ability to foresee potential challenges and proactively address them.
  • Passion: A genuine enthusiasm for VFX.
