Education Requirements

Work Environment

The work will primarily take place in a rural area, with staff accommodation available. The environment includes:

• Floriculture production
• Horticultural field crops
• Nursery - horticulture

Key Responsibilities

As a Nursery Worker, your duties will include:

• Cutting horticultural crops
• Mixing fertilizers
• Weeding and maintaining plant health
• Applying insecticides and fungicides
• Assisting in the pruning of trees, shrubs, and plants
• Preparing and mixing soils
• Planting bulbs and seeds
• Potting and repotting plants
• Transplanting seedlings or rooted cuttings
• Applying fertilizers as needed
• Monitoring for signs of insect or disease damage
• Handling rootballs of trees and shrubs
• Watering and caring for plants, lawns, and gardens
• Maintaining a clean work area
• Operating and maintaining harvesting and cultivating equipment
