About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Janitorial Site Supervisor to join our team at Dexterra. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our site facilities to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate a team of industrial janitors and floor professionals to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Assist with general cleaning tasks, including trash removal, dusting, cleaning restrooms, break rooms, offices, classrooms, restaurant seating, and production areas.
  • Perform floor maintenance tasks, such as sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming floors, buffing floors, stripping and waxing floors, stone care, carpet cleaning, carpet spotting, and upholstery cleaning.
  • Ensure all health and safety processes are completed and compliant, and provide coaching and training to staff as needed.
  • Manage budgets and financial resources to ensure effective use of company funds.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years' residency in Canada for clearance purposes.
  • Proven experience in floor care, including scrubbing, buffing, and polishing floors.
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment and machinery, including auto scrubbers, swing machines, and burnishers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Physical ability to bend, turn, stoop, stand, reach high and low, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs. for 3 to 8 hours per shift.
  • Clear criminal background check required.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software and systems.
