Job Summary

Royal Bank of Canada is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our Global Functions Technology team. As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving business value by analyzing and improving business processes, identifying opportunities for growth, and developing solutions to meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business systems analysis across multiple projects and priorities that affect Enterprise Performance Management
  • Analyze and document business and functional requirements for various enhancement requests
  • Lead and facilitate collaborative sessions with business stakeholders to drive requirements discovery, analysis, and review
  • Assess the current and future states and perform gap analysis
  • Interact and coordinate with various business stakeholder groups to work towards a common goal and ensure alignment with goals
  • Adopt Agile methodologies to enable periodic implementations
  • Construct data flow diagrams, business and system context diagrams
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure full understanding and proper execution of requirements in a timely manner
  • Provide hands-on support during various cycles of testing, including Functional Testing, Systems Integration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing

Requirements

  • At least 5 years' experience serving as a business analyst supporting the delivery of finance solutions
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field of study
  • Agile experience, including writing user stories, managing JIRA items, and input into backlog prioritization process
  • Experience in data analysis, business workflow, functional specifications, and system enhancement requests
  • Experience working with SQL to retrieve and analyze data
  • Proficient experience with software development lifecycle process and IT terms and methods
