The composition of our teams may vary, encompassing a diverse group of engineers, technologists, team leaders, and specialists from various domains including prototype development, testing, supply chain, marketing, and manufacturing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a collaborative team member, you will be involved in various project activities, which include but are not limited to:

  • Creating software, models, and strategies for perception and sensory data within ML/AI initiatives
  • Drafting requirements and producing technical documentation
  • Engaging in code evaluations and managing code repositories across multiple projects utilizing Git version control
  • Assisting in the formulation and execution of validation strategies (unit testing, HIL, SIL, DVT)
  • Contributing to the development of risk assessments (DFMEA)
  • Continuously expanding your knowledge of MacDon and competing products
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Graduation from a recognized Engineering or Technology program
  • Proficiency in Python or C++ programming languages
  • Understanding of machine learning methodologies and algorithms pertinent to image processing
  • Experience in the machine learning development lifecycle, including data collection, cleansing, training, and deployment of ML models
  • Familiarity with the CAN protocol J1939

Desirable Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in machine learning or relevant post-graduate research experience
  • Some exposure to working with embedded controllers, including programming and interfacing with sensors and systems
  • Knowledge of networking protocols and communication principles
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure
  • Familiarity with model-based software design utilizing MATLAB/Simulink tools
  • Interest in the automation and control of mechanical systems
  • Understanding of agricultural machinery and farming practices
