Key Responsibilities- Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on transport trucks and trailers to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Repair and Replacement: Diagnose and repair or replace faulty parts and components on transport trucks and trailers.
- Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of transport trucks and trailers to identify potential issues and recommend repairs.
- Testing and Adjustments: Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications to ensure optimal performance.
- Estimating and Reporting: Estimate parts and labor costs for repairs and complete reports to record problems and work performed.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to our clients, including communicating repair status and providing solutions to issues.
- Education: Completion of an apprenticeship program in heavy duty mechanics or a related field.
- Experience: At least 7 months of experience in a heavy duty mechanic role, with a focus on transport trucks and trailers.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to heavy equipment and tools.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to heavy equipment maintenance.
