Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cybersecurity Consultant to join our team at CPP Investments. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing security controls for cloud environments, ensuring that security is incorporated into applications, and performing assessments of technology, processes, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Implement Security Controls: Develop and implement standard prevention, detection, and remediation controls for cloud environments to ensure the security and integrity of our systems.
  • Ensure Security in Applications: Incorporate security standards and controls into the software development process to ensure that security is embedded in our applications.
  • Assess Technology and Vendors: Perform assessments of technology, processes, and vendors to identify gaps against established standards and ensure that our security posture is strong.
  • Review Enterprise Technology Initiatives: Review enterprise technology-related initiatives and define target security-specific architecture for all key platforms to ensure that our security needs are met.
  • Define and Implement Security Controls: Define, implement, assess, and control necessary measures to protect information systems and vital assets in accordance with security requirements.
  • Provide Information Security Consulting: Provide information security consulting for internal projects to ensure that our security needs are met.
Qualifications
  • Nice to Have: Develop processes to support the certification and accreditation of systems prior to new systems and software being released into production.
  • Consult with Other Teams: Consult with other teams to evaluate security-related capabilities and ensure that they address the threat landscape in an operationally efficient manner.
  • Develop and Promote Security Initiatives: Develop and promote security initiatives that support the information security strategy within the organization.
  • Partner with Security Teams: Partner with Security Operations, Technology/Data Risk, and other teams to develop the necessary security-related standards, procedures, and roadmaps.
  • Analyze Information Security Capabilities: Analyze existing information security capabilities to identify deficiencies and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Industry Certifications: Possess one or more of the following industry certifications: CISSP / CISA / CISM, CCSP – Certified Cloud Security Professional, SABSA - Security Architecture, or other industry-recognized Information Security certifications.
