  • Formulate annual marketing and communication plans in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Manage and assess the visual branding and identity of the department through strategic marketing and communication efforts.
  • Ensure that marketing initiatives are effectively communicated and comply with the University's branding standards and relevant guidelines.
  • Establish policies and guidelines to maintain consistency in messaging and standards related to marketing and communication.
  • Create, prepare, and disseminate both online and print marketing materials.
  • Conduct surveys and facilitate focus groups to measure the success of marketing and communication strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to promote departmental activities and programs.
  • Advise on the scheduling of activities and events for cohesive promotion.
  • Recommend appropriate mass communication strategies, including email, e-cards, and social media initiatives.
  • Develop comprehensive business plans that outline communication and strategic objectives.
  • Write articles and publications to highlight departmental activities, events, and programs.
  • Oversee, review, and edit all web content to ensure high-quality standards.
  • Manage all marketing and promotional activities, including print materials, digital presence, and public media engagement.
  • Compile and write the department's annual report and achievements.
  • Set work priorities and allocate necessary resources for plan execution.
  • Uphold high professional standards for all departmental outputs.
  • Develop and oversee the marketing and communications budget.
  • Provide insights on the financial and staffing resources needed for marketing plan implementation.
  • Address inquiries and offer guidance on marketing, communications, and print publications.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to showcase programs and activities.
  • Support recruitment, retention, and engagement strategies for casual staff.
  • Collaborate with media, advertising, and professional design teams.
  • Respond to media inquiries through various channels.
  • Participate in committees focused on marketing, communications, and branding within the organization.
  • Research and analyze best practices and effective marketing trends.
Supervision:

  • Responsible for supervising up to 9 casual employees concurrently.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 2-year Community College diploma in Public Relations, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience.
