About the Role:

Cci Inc. is seeking a highly skilled HDD Inspector to join our team of experts in Western Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the client's representative on site, upholding their safety standards, environmental policies, and construction specifications.
  • Review and monitor contract documents, codes, standards, and legislation to ensure compliance.
  • Participate in daily safety meetings, conduct JSA's, and complete Daily Inspection and HSE Reports.
  • Issue and monitor work authorization permits, document site activities, and collect as-built information.
  • Monitor contractor adherence to HDD design and execution plans, reporting any deviations.
  • Report on drilling parameters, bit and reamer changes, steering corrections, lost circulation attempts, and adjustments to the drilling plan.
  • Conduct a detailed safety checklist to ensure equipment meets industry safety standards.
  • Implement drilling fluid disposal methods, procedures, and locations as per the Mud Disposal Plan.
  • Complete the HDD Construction Inspection Report daily.
  • Coordinate Emergency Response Plans, orientations, and collection of contractor employees' training certificates.
  • Source water and organize water withdrawal permits for construction.
  • Write and manage Purchase Orders for work, monitoring cost and resources on site.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HDD inspection or management.
  • Formal education an asset, but not required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel for reporting required.
