Position Overview: Assistant Department Manager, Pharmacy
The Assistant Department Manager, Pharmacy is a pivotal role designed to develop and prepare individuals for the responsibilities associated with the Pharmacy Manager position. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring compliance with all standards set by the provincial pharmacy regulatory body and relevant legislative requirements.
- Promoting professionalism, effective business practices, and a robust work ethic among staff.
- Managing pharmacy operations efficiently, focusing on staff productivity, training, team cohesion, and payroll management.
- Conducting resource planning to address staffing needs, performance standards, and development initiatives.
- Communicating and executing all company directives, policies, procedures, programs, and initiatives effectively.
- Maintaining strong inventory control measures.
- Driving business growth within the pharmacy and enhancing sales and profitability.
This role also emphasizes customer service, requiring frequent interaction with customers. Candidates must thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering high-quality service in a professional and courteous manner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy with 2-3 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated supervisory skills.
