As a Quality Assurance Microbiologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and quality of our products. Your responsibilities will encompass conducting rigorous microbial testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods to guarantee compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive microbial testing on various product stages to ensure adherence to safety and quality protocols.
  • Analyze trends in microbial contamination and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate closely with production and quality assurance teams to address microbial concerns and optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to guarantee accurate and reliable test results.
  • Document and report test findings meticulously, adhering to regulatory guidelines and maintaining comprehensive records.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; a Bachelor's degree in a science-related field is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a production/manufacturing environment and 2+ years of relevant laboratory technician experience.
  • Prior experience within the food and beverage industry is highly advantageous.
  • Demonstrated meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Competent computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and the handling of hazardous materials.
  • Flexibility to work any shift as required.
