About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Metal Fitter Supervisor to join our team at SAT Metal Fabrication Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation and fabrication of metal structures on our construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimating and Planning: Estimate costs and materials required for projects, and plan and coordinate activities to ensure timely completion.
  • Team Management: Supervise and train a team of 5-10 workers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed on site, and that workers are aware of and comply with these regulations.
  • Material Management: Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed, and ensure that they are delivered to site on time.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate and schedule activities with other departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Requirements
  • Education: College or CEGEP diploma in a relevant field.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role, or equivalent experience.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Environment: Noisy construction site environment.
  • Work Setting: Assembly, construction, fabrication, installation, and shopwork.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and ability to work 30-40 hours per week.
