Job Summary

Wings Freightway Inc. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver - Logistics Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning and Execution

Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions, utilizing computer equipment, GPS systems, and other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.

Team Driving and Cargo Handling

Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring the safe transportation of goods and materials.

Cargo Management and Documentation

Load and unload goods, obtain special permits and documents required for international routes, and process bills of lading, cargo manifests, and other documents.

Vehicle Maintenance and Safety

Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance, and perform emergency roadside repairs.

Record Keeping and Communication

Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, and communicate with passengers, dispatchers, and other drivers using two-way radio systems.

Requirements
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Driver's License (Class 3 or D)
  • Work Term: Permanent
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week
