Geographic Information Systems Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Analyst to join our team at Rocky View Schools. As a key member of our Planning Department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational needs of our students.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date geographic information systems to support educational planning and decision-making.
- Analyze and interpret spatial data to identify trends and patterns that inform educational policy and practice.
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and other stakeholders to design and implement effective educational programs and services.
- Provide technical support and training to staff on the use of GIS and spatial analysis tools.
- Master's degree in Geographic Information Systems, Spatial Analysis, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a GIS-related role, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
