About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Dimitri's Pizza Steak & Seafood. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining room and kitchen areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to meet the high standards of our restaurant.
    • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs as needed.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation
    • Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
    • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, and operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware.
  • Inventory and Supply Management
    • Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas as needed.
    • Keep records of the quantities of food used to ensure accurate inventory management.
  • Team Support
    • Assist other kitchen staff members as needed to ensure seamless service.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience
    • Will train on the job.
  • Language
    • Fluency in English is required.
Working Conditions
  • Work Schedule
    • 40 hours per week.
