Position Overview

The Financial Executive Officer (FEO) will report directly to the co-CEO and collaborate closely with the executive leadership team. The FEO will manage all fiscal aspects of the organization, deliver strategic financial direction, oversee financial planning and analysis, optimize capital allocation, and enhance profitability while focusing on supporting our growth ambitions.

Core Responsibilities

Financial Strategy and Development

  1. Formulate and execute comprehensive financial strategies that align with the company's growth ambitions.
  2. Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes to provide stakeholders with timely and precise financial insights.
  3. Assess and advise on the financial implications of long-term planning, introduction of new initiatives, and regulatory actions.

Capital Management and Funding

  1. Enhance the company's capital structure and manage capital distribution to support growth projects.
  2. Oversee cash flow management and ensure the availability of funds as required.
  3. Evaluate funding options and maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions.

Financial Operations and Risk Oversight

  1. Collaborate with the controller to support the delivery of accounting functions, including financial reporting, treasury, tax, and audit.
  2. Establish and uphold robust internal controls to protect assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  3. Identify and manage financial risks and opportunities; provide recommendations to mitigate risks and leverage opportunities.

Strategic Leadership and Decision Support

  1. Offer leadership and mentorship to enhance the professional growth of key accounting and finance personnel.
  2. Deliver strategic financial insights and guidance to the Co-CEOs and executive team.
  3. Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support critical business decisions and initiatives.
  4. Collaborate with other departments to assess the financial impact of operational strategies and investments.
  5. Support our investors through effective communication and reporting.

Compliance and Governance

  1. Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and financial reporting standards.
  2. Maintain strong governance practices and ethical standards throughout the organization.

Qualifications

  1. Demonstrated experience as a FEO, VP of Finance, or equivalent role in a high-growth setting, preferably within the food manufacturing or consumer goods sector.
  2. Strong grasp of financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
  3. Proven leadership and management capabilities, with the ability to build and lead a high-performing finance team.
  4. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  5. Strategic thinker with a history of driving results and influencing decision-making at the executive level.
  6. CPA or MBA preferred.
  7. Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced financial software tools.
