Job Summary
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Thoracic Medicine. As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide comprehensive care to patients with thoracic and lung transplant conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients and develop treatment plans in collaboration with hospitalists and other healthcare professionals.
- Prescribe medications and provide health care management in accordance with regulatory standards and employer policies.
- Participate in quality assurance and patient safety initiatives within the Regional Department of Nurse Practitioners.
- Collaborate with clients and other health professionals to identify trends and patterns that impact patient care.
- Develop and implement population-based strategies to improve health outcomes and participate in policy-making activities.
Qualifications
As a Nurse Practitioner with Vancouver Coastal Health, you will be responsible for maintaining competence in your position and privileges as active medical staff. You will also be expected to participate in peer, program, and self-review to evaluate the outcome of services at the client, community, and population level.
