About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our Global Operations Analytics & Business Intelligence team in Canada. As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the operational and strategic needs of our Analytics & Business Intelligence program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, deploy, and sustain data solutions and the technology roadmap to effectively monitor, assess, and deploy analytics & reporting solutions for internal partners across Global Operations and International Banking units.
  • Support the operational and strategic needs of the Analytics & Business Intelligence program, and provide data analytics/reporting services to a variety of operating units across business functions and international geographies.
  • Develop and maintain strong knowledge of operational policies and procedures across Canadian Banking, International Banking, and other Global Operations units.
  • Actively contribute to ongoing projects and programs, ad-hoc initiatives, and partner workstreams across the GO Analytics & Business Intelligence service portfolio.
  • Document, analyze, and recommend improvements to existing business processes with the aim of increasing process efficiency, improving productivity, and/or reducing costs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, finance, or another quantitative field (i.e. STEM).
  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, and/or reporting in the financial services industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of Power BI (DAX), Microsoft Excel (Power Query, Data modeling/Power Pivot, advanced formulas), and SharePoint (Data flow set up and maintenance).
  • Experience with SQL (preferably Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, SSMS) in querying, structuring tables, and interacting with relational databases.
  • Demonstrated experience in the following areas: dashboard development, operational and executive reporting, data analysis and visualization, KPI production, data management and governance.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multi-dimensional projects and workstreams from concept to completion within a matrix environment and across business lines.
