Position Overview:
In the role of Automotive Service Technician (310S) , you will significantly impact the customer experience by performing diagnostic assessments to identify vehicle maintenance needs and delivering precise repair recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute vehicle repairs and maintenance tasks as specified on repair orders, ensuring efficiency and adherence to dealership and OEM standards. Collaborate with Parts and Service Advisors to effectively manage repair timelines and customer communications. Conduct thorough multi-point inspections to make informed repair recommendations, ensuring the safety and reliability of vehicles prior to customer return. Accurately document all work performed on the vehicle repair order, maintaining consistency with OEM standards to facilitate warranty work payment. Maintain a personal inventory of essential automotive tools not typically provided by the Service department. Stay updated on factory technical bulletins and participate in required factory-sponsored training sessions. Deliver an outstanding repair experience to enhance customer loyalty and drive departmental revenue.Qualifications:
Possession of a provincially recognized Journeyman Automotive Mechanic Certificate (310S), either completed or in progress. Red Seal Certification is an asset. Completion of a relevant post-secondary program or training courses. Professional demeanor coupled with a strong work ethic. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities. Proficiency in operating electronic diagnostic tools. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. High integrity and a strong work ethic. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required. Legal authorization to work in Canada is mandatory.Work Environment:
Indoor and outdoor shop environment subject to varying temperatures, requiring physical stamina. Regular exposure to fumes, dust, oil, grease, and noise from equipment operation. Involvement in operating machinery and motorized equipment, including vehicles with both automatic and manual transmissions. Physical demands include sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 75 pounds. Manual dexterity to operate a variety of specialized tools and equipment. Occasional bending, kneeling, and reaching to access various vehicle components.
