About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and physically capable individual to join our team at D&L Swine Ltd as a Barn Worker. This is a permanent position that requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Animal Care: Handling animals, feeding and tending to them, and ensuring their health and well-being.
  • Farm Maintenance: Cleaning stables, barns, barnyards, and pens, and performing general farm duties.
  • Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods, handling heavy loads, and working in a physically demanding environment.
Work Environment

The work site environment is characterized by:

  • Hog and pig farming
  • Dusty conditions
  • Hot temperatures
  • Noisy conditions
  • Odours
  • Wet/damp conditions
  • Dirty conditions
Work Setting

The work setting is located in a rural area.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to work independently, tight deadlines, physically demanding work, repetitive tasks, attention to detail, handling heavy loads, and a large workload.
  • Personal Suitability: Organized, reliability, and ability to work in a team.
Working Conditions
