About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Supervisor to join our team at Safeway Tire Depot Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning and organizing the logistics of our organization, ensuring smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery, and resolving work problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Logistics Planning: Plan and organize operational logistics of the organization, including coordinating activities with other work units or departments.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Supply Chain Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Team Leadership: Train workers in duties and policies, and coordinate, assign, and review work.
  • Problem-Solving: Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in inventory management software and computer equipment.
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, organized, reliable, and a team player.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, and support their social and labour market integration.
  • Support for Youths: Offer on-the-job training, mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for youth.
Working Conditions
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week.
  • Language of Work: English.
